Position Overview Nova Classical STEM Academy seeks an energetic, student-centered Middle School Math Teacher who is passionate about mathematical reasoning and committed to high academic standards. The ideal candidate fosters problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and mathematical fluency while building strong relationships with students and families. Key Responsibilities Deliver rigorous instruction aligned to Florida B.E.S.T. Standards for Mathematics Develop and implement engaging, standards-based lessons that promote conceptual understanding and procedural fluency Integrate STEM applications and real-world problem-solving strategies Use data-driven instruction to monitor student growth and adjust teaching practices Prepare students for state mathematics assessments and advanced coursework (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I readiness) Incorporate technology and digital tools to enhance mathematical understanding Maintain a structured, positive classroom culture rooted in high expectations Communicate regularly with families regarding academic progress Participate in professional learning communities (PLCs) and ongoing professional development

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics or related field Valid Florida Teaching Certificate (Grades 5-9 or 6-12 Mathematics) or eligibility to obtain certification ESOL Endorsement (or willingness to obtain within required timeframe)

Preferred:
