Immediate Need Provide a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for children while supporting their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth. Responsible for planning and implementing engaging daily activities and age-appropriate lesson plans in accordance with the classroom schedule and curriculum guidelines. Maintain a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages learning, creativity, and positive behavior. Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and ensure the safety, well-being, and security of children at all times. Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans, educational activities, and creative learning experiences. Follow and maintain daily classroom schedules and routines. Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through interactive learning and guided play. Provide basic care for children, including meals, restroom assistance, hygiene, and nap time supervision. Maintain open, professional, and positive communication with parents and guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily activities. Observe and document developmental progress and classroom behavior as required. Manage classroom behavior using positive guidance and redirection techniques. Ensure compliance with all company policies and state/local childcare licensing regulations. Maintain accurate attendance, incident, and classroom records. Keep classrooms, toys, equipment, and common areas clean, organized, and sanitized in accordance with health and safety standards. Monitor children during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, transitions, and field trips when applicable. Collaborate with coworkers and administration to maintain a positive and supportive childcare environment. Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. Respond appropriately to emergencies, accidents, or incidents following company procedures and safety protocols. Qualifications Must possess a valid VPK Credential. Must possess a current CDA (Child Development Associate) Certification. Passion for working with children and supporting early childhood development. Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills. Ability to maintain professionalism and work effectively in a team environment.
