A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

What you will be doing:
As a Certified Teacher with AMIkids, you provide professional instruction and teaching to a diverse population of Youth, including hands-on learning experiences, project-based learning activities, and cooperative learning opportunities in a low-student-teacher ratio setting. Certified ELA/Reading Teacher :
Bachelor's degree required, degree in education preferred but we also welcome applicants who have degrees in other fields and are seeking agreements to earn in their field of study. Tallahassee, FL 32303 :
Certified ESE Teacher :
Bachelor's degree in Special Education; valid Exceptional Student Education certification required; experience with IEPs and diverse learners. From $50,000.00 per year
