Key Qualifications:

Certification/licensure as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience working with school-aged children, ideally across multiple grade levels Proficiency in designing and modifying instructional materials for visually impaired students Familiarity with Braille, assistive technology, and orientation & mobility concepts Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized and small group instruction to students with visual impairments from PreK through 12th grade Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Assess students' educational needs and provide appropriate accommodations and materials Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to facilitate inclusion and accessibility Consult with families to promote continuity of support and encourage student independence Maintain accurate records and stay current with best practices in the field This position offers the chance to take on a rewarding full-time role, working 37.5 hours per week alongside passionate educators and making a real impact, starting as soon as possible through the end of the 2026-2027 school year.
