In this role, you will develop engaging lesson plans, foster a positive classroom environment, and support diverse learning styles to ensure every student reaches their full potential. Duties Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative educational technology tools and instructional modifications to accommodate diverse learners. Deliver engaging lessons across subjects such as math, literacy, science, social studies, and physical education, utilizing instructional strategies tailored to different learning styles. Assess student progress through formative and summative evaluations, including standardized testing preparations, and provide timely feedback to students and parents. Manage classroom behavior effectively through proactive behavior management techniques, fostering a respectful and inclusive environment conducive to learning. Collaborate with fellow teachers on curriculum development, instructional strategies, and school-wide initiatives to enhance educational quality. Support students with special education needs by implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and working closely with support staff. Engage in ongoing professional development related to childhood development, educational compliance, and the integration of learning technology. Qualifications Proven experience teaching middle school students in a classroom setting, preferably in private or public school environments. Strong knowledge of core subjects including math (Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Calculus), literacy education, creative writing, and physical education. Familiarity with curriculum development, curriculum implementation, standardized testing procedures, and educational regulation compliance. Excellent communication skills for parent-teacher conferences, public speaking engagements, and team collaboration. Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and diverse cultural backgrounds. Experience working with children with special education needs and applying instructional modifications accordingly. Proficiency in educational technology integration such as learning management systems (LMS), library services, and digital assessment tools. Strong organizational skills for lesson planning, classroom responsibilities management, behavior management, and academic advising. Knowledge of AP style (Associated Press) writing standards as well as Chicago Manual of Style for proofreading and copy editing tasks is preferred but not required.
