Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Teacher for Mixed Age Groups to join our team from Monday through Friday, 2pm to 8pm. In this role, you will be responsible for fostering a positive learning atmosphere for children of various ages, ensuring their safety, development, and enjoyment throughout their time with us. This is a paid position that offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young lives while working in a dynamic childcare setting. Responsibilities Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development and learning across mixed age groups Supervise children closely to ensure their safety and well-being at all times Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning and play Follow all mandated reporting laws and health guidelines to ensure compliance with safety standards Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement strategies and behavior management techniques Collaborate with team members to create individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision best practices Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus Strong classroom management skills and experience implementing child development instruction Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Ability to work effectively with mixed age groups, including toddlers and preschoolers Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and behavior management strategies Join us at Kids By The Hour where your passion for nurturing young minds can truly shine!
