Job Description

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Seeking a dedicated Teacher for the Visually Impaired to support students in a school setting in Lake City, FL. This contract position runs from August 6th to May 28th during the 2026-2027 school year, offering 3 to 5 days per week with a daily schedule of 7.5 hours (22.5 to 37.5 hours per week).
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience working with students who are visually impaired Strong knowledge of adapted curriculum and teaching strategies for visually impaired students Ability to collaborate effectively with educational teams and administrators
Location:
Lake City, Florida Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with school staff and families Adapt teaching materials and methods to meet the needs of visually impaired students Report directly to the Director of Exceptional Student Education (ESE) Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records Communicate regularly with parents and education professionals regarding student needs and achievements
