A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

We are seeking an early childhood educator who enjoys working with toddlers and can create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment. The ideal candidate is patient, organized, dependable, and passionate about helping young children learn and grow. What You'll Do Plan and provide age-appropriate activities for 2-year-old children. Support children's language, communication, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Lead circle time, small-group activities, sensory activities, music, art, movement, and learning centers. Establish consistent classroom routines and provide positive guidance. Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming classroom. Actively supervise children and maintain appropriate staff-to-child ratios. Support daily routines including meals, diapering/toileting, handwashing, and nap/rest time. Observe children's development and maintain required classroom documentation. Communicate professionally with parents regarding children's daily activities, development, and needs. Work collaboratively with other teachers, administrators, and support staff. Follow Florida DCF licensing requirements and all center health, safety, and child-protection policies. What We're Looking For High school diploma or equivalent required . At least 1 year of childcare or teaching experience Previous experience working with toddlers or preschool-aged children strongly preferred. CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred. Florida DCF 45-Hour Certification required. Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain. Strong communication and classroom organization skills. Ability to maintain a calm, positive, and nurturing classroom environment. Dependable, patient, energetic, and professional. Genuine passion for working with young children. Fluent in English required . Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to: Stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, and sit on the floor for extended periods. Frequently lift and carry children or classroom materials weighing approximately 30-40 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs. Participate actively in classroom activities and daily childcare routines. Work comfortably in a busy, active early childhood environment.
