In this role, you will serve as a versatile classroom support, stepping into various teaching environments to ensure a seamless and enriching experience for young learners. You will partner with our proprietary, predeveloped curriciulum plan Life Essentials to support children hands on in our play based learning style. Responsibilities Provide flexible classroom coverage across multiple age groups, including toddlers, preschoolers, and early elementary students, ensuring continuity of learning and care. Assist lead teachers with lesson planning, and curriculum implementation with engaging activities that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior management strategies and creating a safe, inclusive environment for all children. Work closely with children to support their individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Maintain open communication with staff and parents to update on student progress, behavior, and classroom activities. Uphold standards of child welfare and safety by adhering to all licensing regulations, daycare policies, and best practices in childhood development. Contribute to classroom organization, including preparing materials for lessons and maintaining a clean, welcoming space conducive to learning. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred. Willingness to complete 45 Hours DCF Training within the first 3 months of hiring required. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues, families and engage with young learners. Demonstrated understanding of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies. Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm for teaching.
