Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Christian VPK (Voluntary Prekindergarten) Teacher to inspire and educate young children in a vibrant early childhood education environment. As a VPK Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing classroom where children develop essential skills through engaging activities, tailored lesson plans, and positive interactions. Responsibilities Design and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum (We use Bob Jones Curriculum) that promotes early literacy, math, physical education, and social skills aligned with state standards and best practices in childhood education. Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate child development principles, sensory activities, and hands-on learning experiences to support diverse learning styles. Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques to foster a respectful and inclusive environment conducive to learning. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through regular updates and conferences. Ensure the safety and well-being of children by adhering to health guidelines, maintaining cleanliness, and practicing first aid and CPR when necessary. Support children's emotional needs by implementing behavior management strategies that promote self-regulation and social skills. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, standardized testing results, and developmental progress reports in compliance with mandated reporting laws. Qualifications Prior experience working in a VPK Program. Knowledge of early childhood education principles, childhood development stages, and curriculum development is essential. Certification or coursework in special education or early intervention is advantageous. Strong classroom management skills coupled with excellent communication abilities for parent interaction. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and social-emotional learning. Valid first aid and CPR certification required; ongoing training encouraged. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is necessary. Experience teaching physical education or working with students requiring special accommodations is a plus. Florida VPK Lead Instructor CDA (Child Developement Associate) credential or an approved equivalent. Other Specific VPK training. Join us as we nurture the next generation of learners!
