Responsibilities Develop and execute engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive interactions among children. Implement behavior management strategies that promote respectful communication and emotional regulation. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, address concerns, and foster strong partnerships in supporting each child's development. Conduct assessments of child development milestones using standardized testing methods to tailor instruction effectively. Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety protocols. Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and classroom activities to support ongoing evaluation and improvement. Qualifications CDA Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers or preschools. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and classroom management techniques. Experience with special education needs, early intervention strategies, and behavior management approaches. Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure safety in emergency situations. Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration. Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential. Demonstrated ability to plan lessons that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical activities, and social-emotional learning. Prior experience teaching physical education or implementing movement-based activities is a plus.
