A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Job Description

## Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and have experience working with students in a classroom setting. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a key role in creating a positive learning environment and fostering the academic and social development of students. ## Duties
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum
  • Provide instruction in various subjects such as Math, Literacy Education, and Special Education
  • Utilize effective behavior management techniques to create a positive classroom environment
  • Incorporate Montessori principles into teaching practices
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and development
  • Maintain accurate student records and assessments
  • Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress ## Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Previous experience working with children in a classroom setting
  • Strong knowledge of child development principles and educational best practices
  • Classroom management skills
  • Experience in a Private School or Preschool setting is a plus
