Overview Join our vibrant team as a Before & After-School Care Teacher and become a vital part of nurturing young minds! In this energetic role, you will create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children before and after school hours. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on children's development through dynamic activities, compassionate supervision, and teamwork. Duties Supervise children during before and after-school hours, ensuring their safety at all times through attentive child supervision and behavior management. Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, creativity, social skills, and physical activity. Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a positive, respectful environment conducive to learning and fun. Administer basic first aid and follow first aid protocols in case of minor injuries or emergencies; operate AED (Automated External Defibrillator) equipment as needed. Collaborate with parents, school staff, and team members to support each child's individual needs, including special education considerations when applicable. Lead outdoor work activities such as playground supervision and outdoor games to encourage active play and outdoor exploration. Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incident reports, and student progress while adhering to confidentiality standards. Skills Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings; camp experience or babysitting background is highly valued. Strong classroom management skills combined with behavior management techniques to foster a respectful environment. Knowledge of childhood development principles and youth program teaching experience. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and AED operation; familiarity with first aid protocols is essential. Experience facilitating youth group activities, theater or arts programs, or outdoor work enhances your ability to engage children creatively. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating leadership qualities in supervising children. Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Pay:
$16.00 - $23.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 25.0 per week
