Job Description

Category Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired! A full-time contract position is available for dedicated professionals passionate about helping children reach their full potential. This role requires working on-site in a supportive school environment, engaging with students who are visually impaired across multiple campuses in a thriving educational community. You will play a key part in shaping accessible experiences and ensuring an inclusive learning environment. Collaborative teamwork with educators, administrators, and families will be central to developing individualized education plans tailored to students' unique needs.
Key Qualifications:
Valid Educator Certification and National Certification required Experience teaching visually impaired students in a school setting strongly preferred Ability to work cross-functionally with multidisciplinary teams Flexibility, adaptability, and positivity in a dynamic, school-based environment Willingness to complete time-sensitive credentialing, including district background check
Role Responsibilities:
Provide direct instruction and support services to students with visual impairments Develop and implement individualized plans in coordination with school staff and families Consult on accessible materials, assistive technology, and instructional strategies for classroom inclusion Work with students across varying age groups and schools (caseload details to be determined) Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and collaborate in IEP meetings Participate in ongoing professional development relevant to visual impairment education
