Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic Afternoon Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners during the afternoon hours, fostering their growth and development through innovative lesson planning and child-centered activities. Your enthusiasm and dedication will inspire children to explore, learn, and thrive while ensuring their safety and well-being. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, physical activity, and social-emotional skills Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies Plan engaging lessons that support early childhood development milestones and foster curiosity Provide attentive care, including supervision during play, meals, and transitions Communicate regularly with management and parents about children's progress, behaviors, and classroom activities to build strong partnerships Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student observations and incidents Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment aligned with childcare standards and best practices in preschool teaching Qualifications Experience working with children in early childhood education settings or daycare environments Knowledge of childhood development principles, preschool curriculum development, and special education strategies Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management approaches suitable for young learners Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in early intervention or childhood welfare are a plus Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage with parents Demonstrated experience teaching physical education or literacy education to preschool-aged children Ability to follow standardized testing protocols when assessing developmental progress Prior experience in private school or daycare settings is desirable but not mandatory Join us as an Afternoon Teacher to help shape the future by nurturing young minds through dedicated teaching, compassionate care, and inspiring learning experiences. $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
