Monday-Friday | 9:30 AM - 2:30 PM (25 hours per week) Position Summary Bethel Boys Academy is seeking a caring, knowledgeable, and student-centered Part-Time Intervention Teacher to provide targeted academic support to students in grades K-8. The Intervention Teacher will work with students individually and in small groups to strengthen foundational skills in reading, mathematics, and writing while collaborating with classroom teachers to improve student achievement. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students succeed, uses data to guide instruction, and supports the Academy's mission of developing young men of faith, character, scholarship, and leadership within a Christ-centered learning environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Academic Intervention Provide targeted intervention in reading, mathematics, and written language. Deliver small-group and one-on-one instruction to students needing additional academic support. Reinforce classroom instruction using evidence-based instructional strategies. Differentiate instruction based on student learning needs and assessment data. Support students in developing confidence, independence, and strong study habits. Assessment & Progress Monitoring Administer academic screenings and progress-monitoring assessments. Maintain accurate records of student performance and intervention services. Monitor student growth and adjust instructional strategies as needed. Assist teachers in interpreting student data to improve instructional outcomes. Collaboration Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to identify students needing intervention. Participate in student support and academic planning meetings. Communicate student progress with teachers, administrators, and parents. Support the implementation of academic intervention plans. Classroom & School Support Promote a positive, respectful, and Christ-centered learning environment. Reinforce schoolwide expectations for behavior and character. Supervise students as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned by the Headmaster/Principal. Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in Education or a closely related field. Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students. Strong knowledge of reading and mathematics instructional strategies. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Preferred Valid Florida Educator Certificate or eligibility for certification. Experience providing academic interventions. Knowledge of progress-monitoring tools and data-driven instruction. Experience in a Christian school setting. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Successful candidates will demonstrate: Strong instructional skills in reading and mathematics. Ability to analyze assessment data and plan targeted interventions. Effective classroom management techniques. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Strong organizational and time-management skills.
