The teacher works individually and in small groups with students to assess current levels of performance and provide individualized instruction based on identified academic needs. The Intervention Teacher is also responsible for maintaining detailed records of student sessions, monitoring progress, analyzing academic data, and collaborating with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student growth and achievement. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Provide a student-centered learning environment with high expectations and accountability aligned with the school's academic goals and objectives. Work individually and in small groups with students to assess current academic performance levels. Provide targeted instruction that addresses the specific academic needs of each student. Gather, organize, analyze, and interpret assessment data for identified students. Utilize best-practice instructional strategies and research-based intervention curriculum materials to support student learning. Model effective intervention strategies for general education and special education teachers through classroom support and collaboration. Analyze student achievement data and administer assessments and progress-monitoring tools as needed to track student growth. Provide professional development during meetings in collaboration with and as directed by the principal. Collaborate with classroom teachers, administration, and parents to provide academic support and effective intervention strategies. Maintain accurate student records, parent communication logs, and progress reports in accordance with school policies. Participate in professional development opportunities that support instructional improvement, intervention implementation, and professional growth.
