Atlanta, GA 30315 What You'll Be Doing Maintain excellent relationships with families, fostering open communication and trust. Collaborate successfully within a team to develop and implement individualized education plans. Deliver developmentally appropriate instruction tailored to students' unique needs across various disabilities. Assess student progress and provide detailed narratives and documentation for parents and school records. Conduct student assessments and participate in parent-student-teacher conferences. Create engaging, innovative learning environments that promote creativity, deeper thinking, and a love for learning. Adhere to the school's philosophy, including project-based instruction and positive discipline strategies. Ensure classroom management that supports social, behavioral, and emotional development. Work closely with colleagues to design and adapt curricula that challenge students and foster growth. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field; Master's degree preferred. Valid Georgia teaching certification in Special Education. Experience working with students with disabilities such as autism, learning disabilities, or developmental delays. Motivated, nurturing, creative, and self-directed with excellent communication skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively and show a passion for teaching children. Strong understanding of developmental milestones and positive discipline strategies. Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice in educational practice.
