Job Description

Step into a vital role supporting student growth as a Special Education Teacher for a contract position at a dynamic middle school. As an onsite IRR educator, youll work with a focused caseload of 1518 students, collaborating closely with general education staff and ensuring each learner receives tailored, effective instruction. Your skill in maintaining classroom structure and keeping thorough documentation will be key to student and program success. This full-time opportunity runs Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with your expertise needed as soon as possible through May 26, 2027. Your day-to-day will involve implementing IEPs, fostering an inclusive environment, and building positive relationships that empower students to thrive.
What you bring:
Valid Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) Certification or comparable Georgia Special Education Teaching Certification required Demonstrated school-based special education teaching experience Familiarity with developing and executing IEPs Exceptionally strong collaboration skills and classroom management abilities Ability to provide clear documentation of student goals, progress, and behavior Reliable transportation for daily onsite duties Full-time, onsite availability throughout the academic year What youll be doing: Provide individualized and resource room instruction to meet diverse needs Partner with general education teachers to modify curriculum and instruction Monitor progress and maintain meticulous records in support of IEP compliance Cultivate a positive, structured learning space Engage regularly with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams This is a rewarding chance to make a real difference for students while growing your professional strengths in a supportive environment.
