Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a positive impact in a supportive, K-5 self-contained classroom setting designed for student growth and success. We're searching for a dedicated Special Education Teacher eager to work with a small group of eight students, collaborating with two skilled paraprofessionals to deliver tailored instruction. This full-time contract position is available immediately and continues through May 7th. Your day-to-day will focus on fostering an inclusive, structured environment where each student is empowered to progress academically, socially, and emotionally. You'll utilize your adaptive curriculum certification to craft lessons that meet each child's unique needs and promote their greatest potential.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Special Education Teacher certification Adaptive curriculum certification required Experience leading a self-contained classroom, ideally with K-5 students Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and IEP implementation Exceptional communication and collaborative skills Ability to inspire and guide paraprofessionals in daily routines and instructional support
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, deliver, and assess individualized instruction for students on your caseload Implement adaptive curriculum strategies tailored to each learner Oversee and guide 2 classroom paraprofessionals, ensuring a harmonious, productive environment Develop and maintain IEPs, documentation, and family communication Support students' social, behavioral, and life skills, encouraging independence and growth Partner with families, specialists, and school-based teams to maximize student progress If you're motivated to make a difference for students with diverse learning needs and are ready to step into a collaborative, rewarding classroom setting right away, we'd love to connect. to take the next step in your special education journey this school year!
