Kids Contemporary/Technique teacher

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Kids Contemporary/Technique Teacher to inspire young learners through innovative arts education. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that integrate contemporary art techniques with foundational skills in dance, theater, photography, sewing, cooking, and other creative disciplines. Create a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages experimentation, self-expression, and collaboration among children of diverse backgrounds. Manage classroom behavior effectively through clear expectations and supportive guidance, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all students. Deliver engaging instruction tailored to various age groups, including preschool and early childhood learners, emphasizing childhood development principles. Incorporate arts-related activities such as ballet, dancing, sewing projects, culinary arts, and theater into daily lessons to enhance students' artistic growth. Utilize classroom management strategies to maintain organization and promote active participation during lessons. Assess student progress regularly through observations and informal evaluations; provide constructive feedback to support ongoing development. Collaborate with fellow educators and parents to support each child's overall growth and address individual needs or special education considerations. Integrate creative techniques like photography or culinary arts into curriculum units to diversify learning experiences. Experience Prior classroom experience working with children in educational or arts settings is essential; preschool or early childhood education background is highly preferred. Demonstrated expertise in teaching or tutoring within one or more of the following areas: dance (including ballet), theater, photography, sewing, culinary arts, or related creative disciplines. Strong knowledge of curriculum development tailored for young learners that promotes childhood development through arts education. Experience managing classrooms effectively while fostering a supportive and energetic learning environment. Familiarity with behavior management strategies suitable for early childhood or special education settings is advantageous. Background in adult education or working with diverse student populations is a plus but not required.
