Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners as a Special Education Teacher for a full-time contract position at an elementary school near Chickamauga, GA. This opportunity spans from July 29th through May 21st, 2027, including pre-planning days, and focuses on an inclusion classroom setting. The teacher will work closely with a small caseload of 810 students, primarily in 1st and 2nd grade, with some kindergarteners. The students present a range of needs, including autism, significant developmental delays, speech/language challenges, self-regulation issues, and learning disabilities.

Desired Qualifications:

Current, active GaPSC Teaching license P-12 Special Education endorsement required Dyslexia endorsement required Experience supporting PreK2nd grade students preferred Strong skills in collaboration and inclusive education practices Comfortable working with various behavioral and learning profiles Ability to provide supervision for basic self-care tasks (occasional toileting supervision for one student)

Primary Responsibilities:
