Job Description

Transform your expertise as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired into a rewarding opportunity supporting students in an onsite role. This full-time contract position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact in educational settings, with the flexibility to tailor caseload and age group assignments according to your preferences and strengths. The term will begin as soon as possible and extend through late May 2027, with the possibility of involvement in pre- and post-planning days based on district needs.
Desired Qualifications:
Active Georgia Educator Certificate for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs) is required Previous experience working with visually impaired students in a school-based environment is highly valued Comfortable maintaining daily service documentation logs Availability for a minimum of 37.5 hours per week; consideration given for part-time candidates depending on availability and district needs Adaptability to serve various age groups, as final placement may be determined after discussing your background and preferences Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct instruction and support to students with visual impairments in an onsite setting Collaborate with educational staff, families, and related service providers to support each students individualized goals Implement and adapt instructional strategies, resources, and materials to foster accessibility and independence Maintain thorough and timely documentation of all services provided Actively participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student progress monitoring If you thrive in a collaborative educational environment and possess the required TVI credentials, this role presents a unique chance to shape student success while building your own professional experience.
