A Special Education Teacher teaches students who have disabilities, and adapts teaching methods to meet the needs of students. Assesses students and helps to develop individualized education plans that specify the services and accommodations needed for each student. Works in a classroom that includes only students with IEPs, or works with students and teachers in regular classes. For students with severe disabilities, may focus on developing skills for independent living. Works as part of a team that includes therapists, school counselors or social workers.

Qualifications:
Active Georgia Educator Certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Experience delivering virtual TVI services within school settings Availability for full-time hours (at least 37.5 hours/week) Strong documentation skills to complete required daily service logs Comfortable working with a flexible caseload—age group and size to be discussed during interviewResponsibilities:
Design and implement instruction for visually impaired students Provide consultative and direct services, both in-person and virtually Complete and maintain accurate daily logs of student services Coordinate with the district to tailor assignments matching your expertise and preferences Participate in pre/post planning days as requestedBenefits:
