Job Description

Embark on a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired. This onsite role is based in a vibrant school community, serving students with varied needs. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through late May 2027, with potential for some additional pre- or post-planning days to ensure a smooth start and finish to the academic year. This full-time position (minimum 37.5 hours per week) offers some flexibility, as part-time options may be considered based on availability and district requirements. Caseload assignments are individualized and determined collaboratively, allowing your skills, age group preference, and experience level to guide optimal placement within the district. Daily service documentation is required, so proficiency with maintaining detailed logs is essential.
Qualifications:
Valid Georgia Educator Certification for Teachers of the Visually Impaired Previous experience in a school setting working with students who are visually impaired is highly valued Comfort with daily documentation and diligent record-keeping Strong communication skills for collaborating with district staff and families Ability to work fully onsite; remote candidates will not be considered
