Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired or comparable credentials Experience creating accessible instructional materials and using adaptive technology Familiarity with Braille instruction and orientation & mobility concepts Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff Problem-solving skills and adaptability in diverse classroom settings Compassionate, student-centered mindset and commitment to inclusive education
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver specialized instruction to students with visual impairments in various grade levels Conduct assessments to determine student strengths, needs, and progress Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and progress reports Adapt classroom materials for accessibility, including Braille and tactile graphics Consult with general education teachers on inclusive classroom practices and accommodations Participate in IEP meetings, student reviews, and collaborative planning sessions Serve as a resource for families regarding tools, resources, and support services Youll benefit from the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day, working with a passionate team and motivated learners.
