Key Qualifications:

Valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate, with both Special and General Education endorsements appropriate for Pre-K Experience or strong interest in working with students who are non-verbal or have low verbal skills Comfort with supporting children who are in the midst of toilet training, diapering, and assisted feeding Patience, creativity, and flexibility in addressing behavioral challenges and fostering student growth Commitment to collaborating closely with support staff and families

Primary Responsibilities:

Plan and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles and abilities Provide hands-on support for daily living skills, including toileting, diapering, and feeding Utilize evidence-based strategies to support communication, behavior, and social-emotional development Track progress, communicate with families, and participate in IEP meetings and related documentation Create a positive, engaging, and safe classroom environment that celebrates each child's potential This assignment is based in a welcoming, collaborative school, and runs from ASAP through May 21, 2027, with full-time hours (37.5 per week).
