Job Description

A rewarding contract opportunity awaits those with a passion for guiding young learners with diverse needs. This full-time position is based within a supportive Pre-K Special Education program, serving children ages 3-5 with a broad spectrum of abilities. The assignment runs from now through May 21, 2027, offering the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the school year. Your expertise will play a vital role in nurturing students who may be non-verbal or have limited verbal abilities and may require assistance with toilet training, diapering, feeding, and managing behavior. Your compassionate approach and creative strategies will help foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment where young children can thrive.
Preferred Qualifications:
GaPSC Teaching Certificate, with both Special and General Education Endorsements applicable to Pre-K age groups Experience working in early childhood special education settings, especially with non-verbal or developmentally diverse populations Skill in implementing individualized education plans and adaptive teaching methods Strong communication skills for collaborating with instructional teams and families Flexibility and patience to meet students varying developmental and behavioral needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide focused instruction and developmental support for Pre-K students with special needs Assist children with toileting, diapering, and feeding activities as appropriate Implement behavior support strategies and adaptive communication techniques Create and maintain a safe, engaging, and encouraging classroom environment Document student progress and partner closely with IEP teams, therapists, and families Embrace a fulfilling role where every day offers the chance to shape young minds and provide meaningful support.
