9584556-30728 Job Description Embark on a rewarding opportunity to make a lasting impact as a Special Education Teacher in an inclusive elementary school setting. This full-time contract position, spanning the academic year from July 29th, 2024 to May 21st, 2027 (including pre-planning days), offers the chance to work with a dedicated team supporting young learners growth and development. You'll serve a caseload of approximately 8-10 students in PreK through 2nd gradeprimarily 1st and 2nd graders, with a few from Kindergarten. The focus is on delivering inclusive education for students with a variety of needs, including autism, significant developmental delays, speech or language delays, self-regulation challenges, and learning disabilities. While most students do not require toileting or diapering assistance, one student will need supervised support for their toileting goal.

Qualifications and Experience:

Valid GaPSC Teaching License P-12 Special Education (SPED) endorsement Dyslexia endorsement required Experience working with elementary-aged students in an inclusive or resource setting Strong skills in differentiated instruction, behavioral intervention, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams Comfort and creativity in adapting curricula to meet diverse learning styles and needs
