We are currently seeking Elementary School Special Education Teacher's for full-time school-based opportunities in Locust Grove, GA for the 2026-2027 SY!
Location:
Locust Grove, GA Pay:
$40-$45 per hour
Schedule:
Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM-3:30
PM Setting:
Elementary School | Onsite Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher for a full-time, school-based opportunity in Locust Grove, GA . This position offers a manageable classroom size and strong paraprofessional support for an educator passionate about helping students with diverse academic, behavioral, and developmental needs.
Position Details Pay:
$40-$45/hour
Hours:
7:00 AM-3:30
PM Caseload/Class Size:
Approximately 12-15 students
Student Needs:
Mild/Moderate through
Moderate/Severe Behaviors:
May range from mild to significant
Classroom Support:
2 dedicated paraprofessionals Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide differentiated and specialized instruction based on individual student needs Monitor and document progress toward IEP goals Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with families and multidisciplinary teams Work closely with paraprofessionals, related service providers, and other school staff Implement positive behavior supports and effective classroom-management strategies Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field Current or eligible Georgia Special Education teaching certification Previous Special Education or school-based experience preferred Comfortable working with students who have varying academic, developmental, and behavioral needs Strong classroom-management and communication skills Experience in self-contained or specialized classroom environments is a plus This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive school-based team with two dedicated paraprofessionals in the classroom and a manageable student caseload.
