Job Description

Make a lasting impact by supporting the growth of young learners with special needs in a nurturing school environment. This contract opportunity is perfect for experienced Special Education Teachers who are passionate about helping children thrive at the early childhood level.
Key Qualifications:
Valid GaPSC Teaching Certificate with both Special Education and General Education Endorsements appropriate for Pre-K age groups Previous experience working with children ages 3-5, specifically in a special education setting Strong understanding of developmental milestones and individualized instruction Comfort assisting students with toileting, diapering, feeding, and behavior intervention Creative, patient, and dedicated to providing a welcoming classroom atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver tailored instruction for a diverse caseload of Pre-K students with varying levels of need, often non-verbal or minimally verbal Implement and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), closely tracking student progress and adjusting teaching methods as required Support students through essential life skills, including toilet training, feeding, and positive behavior strategies Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to ensure consistency and progress Cultivate a safe, encouraging environment that fosters independence and communication
Position Details:
