9523529-30518 Job Description Empower students to reach their full potential by providing specialized education to those with visual impairments in a welcoming school environment near Buford, GA. Key Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Masters degree in Special Education, Visual Impairment, or related field Valid state teaching certification for Visually Impaired students Experience working as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) in K-12 settings preferred Strong knowledge of Braille, assistive technology, and adaptive devices Ability to create and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and school staff Compassion, patience, and adaptability in dynamic classroom settings
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver individualized instruction for students with visual impairments in accordance with IEP goals Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to ensure inclusive learning experiences and success for every student Teach Braille and the use of assistive devices and technology to support each student's educational development Adapt curriculum and classroom materials to accommodate varying levels of vision loss Participate in IEP meetings, assessments, and ongoing progress monitoring Offer guidance and training for school staff on techniques and tools for teaching visually impaired students Make a meaningful impact as you support students educational journeys and help them gain confidence and independence.
