Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our dynamic educational team. Duties Develop and implement innovative, evidence-based lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs. Lead classroom activities that promote literacy, math, communication skills, social-emotional development, and early childhood education principles. Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies tailored for students with special needs and developmental disabilities. Collaborate closely with speech therapists, behavioral health specialists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to support student progress and IEP (Individualized Education Program) goals. Conduct ongoing assessments of student progress using standardized testing, formative evaluations, and observational data to inform instructional modifications. Maintain detailed documentation of student development, behavior management strategies, and communication with parents through regular updates and meetings. Integrate educational technology tools effectively into daily lessons to enhance learning experiences for children of varying abilities. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings or elementary classrooms, especially those with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders. Strong knowledge of special education laws, IEP development, instructional modifications, and behavior management techniques. Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development across literacy education, math instruction, communication skills, and behavioral health strategies. Excellent communication skills for parent-teacher collaboration and interdisciplinary team coordination. Ability to manage a classroom effectively while fostering a nurturing environment that supports diverse learning styles. Experience working with students with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), developmental disabilities, or other special needs is highly preferred. Familiarity with educational technology integration and assessment tools to monitor student progress accurately. Childcare certification or preschool experience is advantageous; Montessori or private school background is a plus.
