e2112-50023 Job Description Make an impact this school year by supporting the growth and independence of a student as a 1:1 Teacher of the Visually Impaired. This rewarding, full-time, on-site contract role offers the chance to work closely with a student on a long-term basis, providing tailored instruction and advocacy in an engaging educational setting. As a travel professional in this position, you'll step into a supportive environment where your expertise and passion for helping children can shine. Your guidance will be instrumental in fostering confidence, academic achievement, and life skills for a student with unique needs.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree required Valid state certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired Experience with pediatric or 1:1 instruction preferred Excellent communication and adaptability skills Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to collaborate with school teams
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education plans for a visually impaired student Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to support accessibility and maximize learning Provide direct, 1:1 instruction and support across classroom routines and activities Collaborate with other educational professionals and parents to ensure student success Track progress, maintain records, and report on student achievements and needs Foster a positive, encouraging and inclusive atmosphere Travel candidates are encouraged to apply and take advantage of a professionally enriching experience in a welcoming community.
