The ideal candidate will provide engaging instruction across multiple subjects, including mathematics, science, and English language arts, while fostering a positive learning environment. This role requires adaptability, cultural sensitivity, and a passion for working with diverse student populations. The teacher will develop tailored lesson plans and employ instructional strategies that meet individual learning needs, including special education considerations and SAT preparation. Duties Deliver engaging instruction in subjects such as mathematics, science, and English language arts to students from diverse cultural backgrounds. Develop and implement customized lesson plans that cater to individual learning styles and educational needs. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with special education requirements and varying abilities. Provide targeted tutoring in areas including math, science, English language arts, and SAT preparation to support student academic growth. Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement, motivation, and confidence. Collaborate with staff and counselors to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly. Incorporate Christ-centered principles into teaching practices to align with the organization's mission of restoration and healing. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, participation, and academic performance. Promote positive behavior management strategies that uphold a safe and respectful learning environment. Qualifications Proven experience teaching math or related subjects; experience working with students in special education or diverse backgrounds is preferred. Strong writing skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly. Experience providing tutoring for English language arts, science, and SAT preparation is highly desirable. Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of individual students and different learning styles. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from various cultural backgrounds in a compassionate manner. Passion for supporting youth development within a faith-based setting. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students. Flexibility in scheduling as this is a part-time position requiring adaptable availability. Pay:
