This full-time, contract role is designed to support high school learners through dynamic instruction in both ASL and core academic subjects. Illinois teaching certification with ASL endorsement or equivalent credentials to teach Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Proven proficiency in American Sign Language Experience supporting Deaf/Hard of Hearing students, ideally at the high school level Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with staff, families, and support professionals Commitment to fostering an accessible, engaging learning environment Ability to adapt instruction to individual learner needs and IEP requirements What will your days look like? Delivering ASL instruction and adapting core curriculum content for Deaf/Hard of Hearing students Creating interactive lessons to promote language acquisition and academic success Supporting students' IEP goals through differentiated teaching strategies Collaborating with general education teachers, support staff, and families Advocating for accessibility and inclusion within the school community Conducting progress monitoring and providing feedback on student growth This position offers a pay rate of $48+ per hour, reflecting your skills and experience in this specialized area.
