Job Description

This full-time contract opportunity allows you to create positive educational experiences for learners with diverse needs in a supportive school environment. As a Special Education Teacher, you will have the chance to make a real difference while working alongside dedicated educators.

Key Qualifications:

Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) endorsement required Experience providing special education services in a school setting preferred Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Collaborative and communicative approach to working with students, staff, and families Ability to maintain accurate records and meet compliance standards

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver special education support in a resource classroom setting for middle school students Collaborate closely with general education teachers to ensure students' needs are addressed in all academic settings Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education programs (IEPs) Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed Maintain thorough and accurate documentation related to special education services Serve as a resource and advocate for students, providing guidance and support throughout the school year
