The Special Education Coordinator/Instructional Coach is a key member of the special education team, committed to fostering instructional excellence, ensuring compliance, and strengthening inclusive educational practices across assigned schools. In this role, you will: Serve as the instructional leader for special education programs, supporting the effective implementation of research-based instructional strategies. Facilitate compliance with federal and state special education requirements, including the coordination and leadership of IEP meetings. Coach and provide guidance to special education staff, promoting professional growth and enhancing best practices to support varied learning needs. Collaborate closely with building administrators, general education coaches, and the Director of Special Education and Student Services to expand access and improve the continuum of services for all students. Utilize data-driven approaches to monitor student progress, set goals, and inform program decisions, ensuring optimal outcomes for students with disabilities. Support strong family and community engagement to ensure ongoing partnerships that enrich the educational experience.

Desired Qualifications:

Masters degree from an accredited institution. Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with the required endorsements. At least three years of experience working in special education settings. Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
