Category Schools - Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist Job Type Contract A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated professional specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education. This role supports students in a school setting, providing both direct teaching and consultative services that foster an inclusive learning environment tailored to the unique needs of each student.
Location:
Bolingbrook, IL Key Responsibilities:
Deliver 100 minutes of direct instructional services per week during the regular school year. Provide 180 minutes of monthly consultative support to classroom teachers and staff. Facilitate Extended School Year (ESY) services from June 15, 2026, to July 24, 2026, Monday through Friday. Conduct Hearing Itinerant Services with 100 minutes weekly of direct instruction and 75 minutes monthly consultation. Collaborate with educators, families, and related service providers to develop and implement effective educational plans.
Desired Qualifications:
Certification or licensure as a Deaf / Hard of Hearing Specialist or Teacher. Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in an educational setting. Ability to provide both direct instruction and consultative support. Strong communication and collaborative skills. Commitment to fostering an adaptive and supportive learning environment.
