This contract role runs from August 17, 2026 to June 4, 2027, offering a consistent weekday schedule. Work closely with a caseload of 14 students spanning 6th and 7th grades, providing specialized instruction and support that helps foster their academic and personal growth.

Key Qualifications:

Valid teaching certification in Special Education Experience teaching or supporting middle school students, preferably in resource, self-contained, or team-taught settings Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learning needs, particularly in math, ELA, science, and social studies Strong collaboration skills to work with co-teachers and support staff Passion for empowering students and encouraging lifelong learning

Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction in math and ELA to 6th grade students, tailoring strategies to individual abilities Collaboratively teach science and social studies in 7th grade alongside general education teachers Design and implement differentiated lessons and accommodations to meet IEP goals Track and report student progress, maintaining thorough documentation and open communication with families Foster an inclusive classroom culture where every student feels valued and supported Participate in staff meetings, IEP meetings, and ongoing professional development
