Serving a supportive educational community near Buffalo Grove, IL, this part-time opportunity (.5 FTE) allows you to work closely with learners, making a meaningful difference in their day-to-day educational experiences.

Key Experience & Qualifications:

Valid certification to teach Special Education in Illinois Previous experience working with K-8 students, adapting curriculum to diverse learning needs Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Effective communication skills for collaboration with staff, families, and external professionals Proficiency in maintaining detailed and accurate student records Strong classroom management and organizational abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver tailored instruction to K-8 students in alignment with IEP goals Collaborate with general education teachers to modify coursework and provide inclusive learning experiences Continuously monitor student progress, making data-driven adjustments to interventions Serve as an advocate and resource for students with special needs Foster a positive, encouraging classroom environment, supporting each student's academic and social growth Communicate regularly with families regarding student successes and challenges Participate in staff meetings, IEP meetings, and professional development activities This part-time contract allows you to maintain a work-life balance while still making an essential contribution for a full school year.
