Job Description
KinderCare is seeking Assistant Teachers for our Buffalo Grove learning center to help create a warm, engaging environment for young children. In this role, you'll support lead teachers with daily routines, lesson activities, and classroom management for infants through preschoolers. You'll supervise play, meals, and rest time, maintain a safe and clean classroom, and build positive relationships with children and families. Responsibilities Support lead teachers with daily classroom activities and routines for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and learning centers Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment Supervise children during play, meals, and rest periods, ensuring their safety and well-being Build positive, nurturing relationships with children and families Support behavior guidance using positive, age-appropriate strategies Prepare and organize classroom materials and learning resources Collaborate with center staff to support center events and family communication Follow health, safety, and licensing regulations and center policies Participate in ongoing training and professional development Required Skills Early childhood classroom support Child supervision and safety Lesson plan implementation support Behavior management using positive guidance Classroom organization and cleanliness Communication with children and families Basic child development knowledge Teamwork in a childcare setting Time management in a busy classroom Record-keeping and compliance with policies
