Category Schools - Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract Energize your teaching career by joining a therapeutic day school setting where you'll inspire students to build confidence, teamwork, and physical skills. We're seeking a passionate and flexible Physical Education Teacher for a contract position working with a close-knit group of K-12 students. You'll play a key role in creating a fun, supportive environment where kids can learn the basics of sports while developing their personal strengths. This position offers flexibility to work either full-time or three to four days per week, making it ideal for educators seeking work-life balance. You'll collaborate closely with dedicated support staff—a paraeducator will always be present—and every resource you need, from top-notch equipment to a welcoming classroom atmosphere, will be provided.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
Valid Illinois teaching license (LBS1 or standard education license; adaptive PE not required) Experience in a therapeutic day school or similar setting is highly valued Comfortable teaching PE basics to students across grade levels K-12 Strong ability to adapt activities and connect with children of varying needs and backgrounds Creative, energetic approach with a commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive environment
Position Highlights:
