Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract position supporting elementary students as a dedicated Paraprofessional. This full-time opportunity extends through May 2027, offering the chance to make a daily impact in a supportive school environment. The role runs from 8:15 AM to approximately 3:30 PM, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. Openings are available for three positions at an elementary school, each supporting students with diverse needs: Providing one-on-one assistance to a 3rd-grade student in a semi self-contained instructional setting, focusing on both functional and academic growth. Supporting a Kindergarten student who may display challenging behaviors, offering calm, positive guidance. Serving as an inclusion Paraprofessional, assisting students and teachers in general education classrooms (grades K-5).

Qualifications & Skills:

Holds an active Illinois Paraprofessional License. Experience with elementary-age children and comfort working with all grade levels. Ability to support students with behavioral, academic, and functional developmental needs. Comfortable assisting with toileting/hygiene as needed. Positive approach to behavior management. Fully clear background check (district will not proceed otherwise). Reliable commute to the school site.
