Qualifications :
An ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons and strong collaborative skills are required. Strong familiarity with Professional Learning Communities and data-based decision-making is preferred. Experience co-teaching is preferred. Experience with case management is preferred.

York Community High School is seeking a dynamic and passionate High School Special Education teacher who has experience in the co-taught classroom. York is seeking to hire a teacher who maintains a positive learning environment centered on equity, holds high academic expectations, and creates a student-centered classroom while building rapport with students, parents and staff. We are looking for exceptional candidates who will assist our school in becoming an exemplar as it relates to seeking and implementing strategies for improving student achievement and growth for all students. This person will work collaboratively in professional learning communities in the math content area and special education departments to achieve goals with a common purpose focused on student achievement. Long Term Substitute rate of pay: $257.00/day IL Professional Educator License (PEL) with proper endorsement and registered in DuPage County.
