This resource position supports first and fourth-grade students, working closely with a manageable caseload of approximately 10 students. Located near Evanston, IL, you will guide and nurture students growth while collaborating as a valued member of the educational team. Scheduled hours are from 8:50 AM to 3:35 PM, Monday through Fridayproviding consistent daytime work and time for both your professional and personal commitments.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Valid special education teaching certification required Demonstrated experience working with elementary-aged students Proven ability to develop and implement IEPs Strong communication and collaboration skills Adaptability and creativity addressing diverse learning needs Experience as a resource teacher a plus

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized support for first and fourth-grade students within resource settings Develop and carry out instructional plans aligned with IEP goals Partner with classroom teachers, support staff, and families Track and report on student progress, maintaining compliance with special education regulations Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student participation and self-advocacy Participate in meetings, professional development, and school activities as needed This contract assignment offers a structured schedule, collaborative environment, and the chance to build strong relationships with students and staff.
