Job Description

Make a positive impact as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired in the Evanston, IL area. This contract role allows you to provide dedicated support to a student with visual impairment, working closely with school staff and families to foster an inclusive learning environment. Your expertise will shape educational experiences and create opportunities for personalized success.
Key Qualifications:
Active Illinois Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) license required Experience working with visually impaired students, ideally in a school setting Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to develop and implement individualized instructional strategies Passion for advocacy and inclusion in the classroom
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging, specialized instruction tailored to the needs of a visually impaired student Adapt classroom materials and learning tools to ensure accessibility Collaborate with general education teachers and related services staff Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of accommodations Offer training and resources to educators and families to promote student independence Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as needed Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with educational standards This is your opportunity to enjoy a fulfilling contract position, making a direct difference in a students academic journey.
