aprrox. $2200 weekly Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to support students in a self-contained classroom setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with diverse learning and behavioral needs and be committed to creating a supportive, structured, and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities Provide specialized instruction and support to students in a self-contained classroom. Assist students in addressing academic, behavioral, and developmental delays. Develop and implement individualized instructional strategies based on student needs. Support students requiring special education services. Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and other school staff. Consult with school staff regarding appropriate academic and behavioral interventions. Monitor student progress and adjust instructional approaches as needed. Maintain appropriate documentation and communication regarding student needs and progress. Promote a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment. Preferred Experience Experience teaching students with educational life skills needs. Experience working with low-incidence student populations. Experience with behavior planning and behavioral interventions. Strong collaboration and communication skills. Ability to organize and maintain an effective system of communication among providers and school staff. Requirements Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with LBS1 endorsement . Special education teaching experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively in a self-contained classroom environment. Schedule Monday through Friday 35 hours per week 8:00 AM
