Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Keshet is seeking a passionate and engaging Sunday School Teacher for its Chai School program serving adolescents. This role involves leading fun, hands-on, and developmentally appropriate activities that foster social interaction, Jewish connection, and personal growth. The teacher will create a welcoming and safe environment for participants each Sunday from 10:00am-12:00pm in Highland Park, beginning September 13th through April. Additional hours may be available as a program aide in other Keshet programming. Join us in turning Sundays into meaningful and enriching experiences!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Implements Jewish curriculum (including stories, Hebrew, etc.) while highlighting our core values Uses expertise to modify basic curriculum provided Creates lesson plans Communicate with Program Manager on Weekly Basis Assess and Evaluate student's needs and modify curriculum accordingly Delegates to and works with Teacher aides Arrive on time, prepared and ready to work; be reliable in attendance
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of Jewish History and Culture Basic Hebrew language preferred Experience with developmental/intellectual disabilities Valid driver's license and safe driving record
