Manage daily classroom operations, including behavior management strategies to foster a respectful and inclusive environment. Support children with special education needs and participate in early intervention programs to ensure all students receive tailored support. Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instruction. Collaborate with parents and guardians through clear communication about student progress, milestones, and behavioral observations. Supervise and mentor assistant teachers or classroom aides, providing guidance on lesson planning and classroom management techniques. Ensure compliance with childcare regulations, health and safety standards, and child welfare policies at all times. Organize extracurricular activities such as tutoring sessions or physical education classes that complement core curriculum goals. Requirements Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or daycare environments. Strong background in childhood development theories, curriculum development, and classroom management strategies. Experience with special education practices, early intervention programs, and literacy education techniques. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and assessment tools used in early childhood education. Demonstrated ability to plan lessons effectively for diverse learners using methods like Montessori or other child-centered approaches. Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners. Knowledge of behavior management techniques that promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being. Ability to adapt teaching strategies for toddlers through preschool-aged children across various developmental stages. Prior preschool or private school experience is preferred; certification in early childhood education or associates degree in related field is necessary. Physical ability to engage actively in classroom activities including movement-based instruction like physical education or outdoor play sessions.
